If the level electrode (high or low level limiter) is installed in an isolatable level pot outside the boiler, make sure that the level pot is drained and the connecting lines are rinsed at regular intervals. For this purpose the connecting lines must be shut off and opened at regular intervals and by opening and closing the drain valve the lines and the level pot will be rinsed. The logic unit is designed to be used in conjunction with level switch NRS 1-50 (water level limiter) or level switch NRS 1-51 (high level alarm) to monitor the correct timing and sequence of valve operations. During the rinsing process the level switch jumpers the level electrode, thus preventing the safety or control circuit from opening. The level switch - controlled by the logic unit - also monitors the rinsing and bypass time.
The SP500 smart valve positioner is loop powered from a 4 - 20 mA input signal to provide accurate adaptive positional control of pneumatic actuated linear and quarter turn valves. Precise control is maintained through valve position feedback that automatically varies the pneumatic output pressure to overcome the effects of stem friction and flow forces to maintain desired valve position. Indication of valve position is provided through a continuous digital display of % travel.
The equipment prevents the backflow of liquids or gases in pipes. The equipment can be installed in horizontal and vertical pipes. If the equipment is mounted in a vertical pipe the flow must normally be from bottom to top. If springs of type 5 VO are used, the equipment can also be installed in vertical pipes with downward flow. This kind of installation (vertically downward flow) is only possible with equipment up to DN 500.
The functional unit consisting of the operating & display unit URB 50 / conductivity controller LRR 1-52, LRR 1-53 in conjunction with conductivity electrodes LRG 1.-.. and conductivity transmitter LRGT 1.-.. is used as conductivity controller and limiter, for instance in steam boilers, (pressurized) hot-water installations as well as condensate and feedwater tanks. The conductivity controller indicates when the preset MAX or MIN conductivity is reached, opens or closes a continuous blowdown valve and may also control an intermittent blowdown valve.
The Panel Adaptor Large is designed for use with the large form factor SPECTORmodul controllers without rotary button (e.g. NRS 1-50, 1-51) and enables controller installation in a control cabinet door. It offers the advantage of status visibility and alarm testing without opening the cabinets door. The installed adaptor fulfi lls the protection class IP65.
Intelligent, global monitoring An extensive and adjustable data connection enables global system monitoring. Simple graphics, historic data and alarms provide clear information about the steam generation process. Always state of the art SPECTORconnect satisfies the requirements of the latest standards for safe steam boiler operation.
For the operator of a pressurized steam or hot-water plant, safety, reliability, availability and cost efficiency are the top priority. To an increasing extent, plant automation and visualisation are also growing in importance. In order to meet these stringent requirements, GESTRA AG has been making exclusive use of low-maintenance, non-wearing electrode systems for more than five decades now. These systems function entirely without moving parts, which mean long service lives and very low failure rates.

The thermostatic steam trap features a minimum stagnant area and corrosion-resistant thermostatic capsule with membrane regulator, which is unaffected by water hammer. Used for removing condensate and air venting steam in sterile and aseptic applications. The thermostatic capsule with membrane regulator and rolling ball features a self-centring ball stud that can move freely, ensuring a steam-tight seal that is unaffected by dirt particles.
